And when we hear these stories, something stirs inside us.
We realise that people are not defined by their hardest moments. We remember that no one’s situation is fixed forever. And we see that change, growth, and healing are possible — even in the face of life’s toughest barriers.
For someone who feels isolated in their struggles, hearing another’s journey says:
You are not alone.
What you are feeling is human.
There is a way forward, even if you can’t see it yet.
Storytelling breathes life into hope. It shows that better days are not just wishful thinking — they are possible, and they are worth holding onto.
Stigma thrives in silence. It feeds on the myths, judgments, and misunderstandings we carry when we don’t know the full picture.
But when someone bravely shares their experience, it challenges those assumptions.
