The result? A widespread culture of emotional isolation—one that plays a significant role in Australia’s mental health crisis, where suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 40.
We cannot ignore the role that toxic masculinity plays in this crisis. It’s not just a personal issue—it’s a systemic one, rooted in fear, lack of education, and a societal resistance to emotional change. But change is possible.
